A Room of One's Own

I'm sure a lot of parents will be tearing down Old Boy posters this week. This is my kid's room, and I don't plan to be among them. This argument about how media influence the young is an old one, one which goes back to Plato and Aristotle, and after two thousand years it still hasn't been resolved.

Since media is just a conglomerated term for the types of comunication we live with, I would think it's influence has been known since the dawn of time. The way one reacts to this influence is the basis for the fields of marketing and others. One could say that comunication is the fundemental element that gives us the formation of civilization. How we use it and the results of that use are the thing we need to watch! If anyone's reaction is cool then COOL!
