"IPods don't kill people. Cars kill people"

I was on The Brian Lehrer Show on WNYC this morning ridiculing that NY State Senate bill that would institute a $100 fine for crossing the street while listening to an IPod or cell phone.

During the call-in segment, this crazy woman who used to teach in my department calls in to criticize me and call for -- get this -- outlawing ALL MOBILE PHONES IN NYC. I am not making it up. Click on the link and listen to the segment.
