It’s Women’s Equality Day
On August 26, 1920, after 72 years of lobbying and protest, women finally won the right to vote in the United States. NOW is asking people to sign this petition to the prospective 2008 presidential candidates, urging them to make women's equality a major component of their campaigns. Read more here.
