The Family That Plays Together Stays Together

Check out the mind-bending video for the family board game "Smack the Lion" at Wangming Co. Ltd.

You have to watch the clip, because the descriptive copy doesn't really do justice to this bizarre product from a Chinese company that also claims to make industrial gloves and artificial trees.

The first of series family board games smack the lion offers new horizon to combine both mental and physical qualities into one game. Up to four players will have special designed high quality garment that will ensure optimal gaming pleasure. Ideal for small groups, family and friendly times. Easy to carry.

What's particularly odd is that the game seems to involve soccer trousers from Bavaria beer that were distributed to Dutch fans gratis at the World Cup, so I'm assuming that this is a very elaborate parody, especially since Mom gets set on fire and Junior is thrown off the roof during the family frolic.

Of course, if it's real, it should put the debate about violent videogames in a whole new context.
