NYTimes' Santorum Problem

Earlier this week Melissa discussed the NYTimes Magazine piece on Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Looneytown) that ran last Sunday.

One thing that bothered me about the piece is that it repeated that lie that Gov. Bob Casey was denied a speaking slot at the 1992 Democratic National Convention because he was anti-abortion. In fact, he was denied a spot because he refused to endorse the Democratic ticket.

But there is more. Turns out the Times Magazine piece ignored the well-documented fact that Santorum was pro-choice his entire life until he ran for Congress.

This guy is so strange I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

I do know we will be going down to Pa. for many door-knocking weekends in the fall of 2006.
