Pak|Cast vol. 3, no. 12: The Road to Lahore

Dear Sivacrats,

Pak|Cast: A Weekly Audio Dialogue Between Pakistan and the West, which I co-host, is covering the escalating political crisis in Pakistan. Our most recent installment was recorded May 8, before this past weekend's shocking violence in Karachi, but it covers the chief justice's 26-hour hero's journey by road from Islamabad to Lahore.

It also includes a debate in which I took part at Harvard University in early April over the merits of President Musharraf's rule and the prospects for civilian rule in Pakistan (I took the unpopular position that the Musharraf era has been more good than bad for Pakistan and the world).

Enjoy!

Cheers, Ethan
